Minister of Health and Welfare Award – Jong-pil Kim, Hospital Director of Naeunphil Hospital

Located in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, Naeunphil Hospital is a Ministry of Health and Welfare-designated "Replantation Specialist Hospital" providing expert care in hand and foot trauma and reconstructive plastic surgery. As the hands and feet have the most delicate structures in the body, even minor nerve or vascular damage can cause significant discomfort in daily life. Naeunphil Hospital is equipped with specialized surgeons and appropriate facilities dedicated to treating these specific areas.

Spanning approximately 7,300㎡, the hospital operates various departments including Orthopedics (Shoulder, Knee, Spine), Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation Medicine, in addition to hand and foot reconstruction. Furthermore, he has promoted the international expertise of Korean hand and nerve surgery as a presenter at the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) annual meeting. His research achievements have also been recognized by global societies such as SICOT (International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology) and FESSH (Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand).
